Stephani Chandlers Bio

Fashionista, shopaholic, accessory crazed, Diamond fanatic, and lover of all things bling, complemented by a creative and inquisitive nature. I just adore any and all things pretty. I love making the things around us that define who we are, what we like, and makes us happy.  During this time in my life, its portrait painting, with a vintage twist. From the beginning, the process of transforming Paint into a portrait, has struck me as magical. Over the years, that magical process has had its way with me.
Why I do What I do:
God has blessed me with two gifts of the spirit. The first gift is creativity. Starting back in grade school, when we would do projects., my wonderful RUSD teachers would gush over anything that I had drawn, made, or painted. Most of the time they would either ask me if they could keep them, or they would enter them into contests that I had no idea about until they returned my artwork to me, along with a ribbon I had won. Filling  me with a great sense of accomplishment and integrity. After high school I became cosmetologist. Making people more beautiful, and helping them to feel good about themselves! What a wonderful occupation, and a new medium for me! I loved every minute of it. After having my first child, My husband and I agreed that it would be best to become a stay at home mom, (the hardest job that I have ever had!) so my creativity once again had to flow to another medium.
My second gift of the spirit is Serving/Helping. This why I contribute a great deal of my profits, from each and every one of my commissioned pieces, to a charity. I also donate quite a bit of my work for fundraisers to non profits.
       What I’m creating now:
I've always loved glamorous movie stars. The glitz and the old style glamour, the vintage styles. I simply adore them! This is my inspiration, In my eyes everyone is a movie star. And that’s how I paint them. But I don’t just paint them, I “Glamorize” them too. After my painting is finished, I return once again, and go all out with my “Imported Crushed German Glass.” Let me fill you in.

The Glass I use is created from a seven step process that starts with coating a thin substrate of glass with a coat of pure silver. After firing the glass at high temperatures, color coatings are added, followed by additional firings and coats of sliver. After the coated color glass is completed and cooled, it is ground into different grains. The multi-stage process and base coat of Silver is what gives the glass both the exceptional sparkle and shine, but also it’s tendency to tarnish to a rich vintage look over time. This adds to the “Vintage” look that I adore.  I receive my glass from a small family run company in the heart of Germany. This family comes from a long line of Bavarian Glass Artisans who create a far superior glass, and craft each batch, by hand, when ordered.

After this second process is finished, I put the painting up in my home to admire for a while. Believe me when I say, you cannot take your eyes off of it. My paintings are truly pleasing to the soul! I have successfully completed  numerous commissioned pieces, requiring my skills and creativity, with results that more than exceed my clients’ visions. My work can be found in myriad of private art collections both in the United States and abroad.
I currently live and work in Sunny Riverside, California.
