A little about me

About Stephani Chandler
Stephani Chandler has been immersed in the world of beauty for over twenty years, with roles ranging from hair stylist to make-up artist to product developer. Owner of Divine Addictions, she is known for applying make-up which is flawless, beautiful and enhances her client’s best features. She says, “It’s not just about applying make-up; it’s about showing a woman how to appreciate her assets and making the most of them. Whether it’s a woman’s lip, cheeks bones or nose, I’ll show her how to emphasize and make the most of what she has”
Her love for art began when she was just a young child. Surrounded by nature and an artistic family, she always had an eye for things that were beautiful, unique and creative. As her love for art grew, she began sketching and learning the fundamentals of art. Over the years, she took it upon herself to explore make-up as an art form as well. What started out as a fun hobby, eventually took off with a life of its own. Today she’s acquired a following from many specifically seeking her for weddings, formals, special events and photo shoots.
Stephani has learned to balance her career with home life. She is extremely proud of her accomplishments but even prouder of her children and their happy and healthy outlook. She loves what she does, but feels her most important role is being mom. Now that being said, she is also proud to announce her new line of cosmetics called Eden, which will showcase this fall.
Even with her hectic work schedule and raising three children with her husband David, she is always willing to lend a hand to non-profits organizations. Currently, she is involved with Loma Linda Heart Association, and The Donate Life Association in Riverside.
What she tells other women starting out is “you need to believe in yourself, set goals and don’t listen to the naysayers. Keep your eye on the prize and know with hard work anything is possible."

Spring Cleaning your makeup mess

Spring cleaning your makeup mess

So ladies, own up… when was the last time you gave your makeup bag a spring clean?

It’s therapeutic to spring clean our makeup and skincare products once in a while! I did mine a while back, my dresser is more organized now and I find it easier to do my makeup every day!
When was the last time you cleared out your makeup? How many products do you have lurking at the bottom, gathering dust (and bacteria)? Did you know that makeup products have a best before date? How can you expect to have fabulous skin if you are using old makeup, dirty brushes and expired skin care?
Why is it so hard to part with these things even though we know we are never going to use them? So here’s the jest.
Mascara has the shortest shelf life and should be thrown out after 3 - 4 months. BTW Don't pump the wand in and out--doing so exposes it to air causing it to dry out quicker. Twirling works best!
Eye shadows that have gone crumbly and dull as well as any make-up products that have changed in consistency, color, or smell. Other items use your judgment, if your polish is separated, your gloss is goopy and your cream shadows have hardened get rid of it! If your skincare is almost expired, use it up quickly, try moisturizers for legs… SPF for neck, scrubs for elbows… this is a totally great idea!
Divide and Organize:
Organize your makeup by frequency of use. plastic trays should be shallow so that most if not all your makeup is completely visible. Place what you use every day at the front and the products you use for special occasions--like that sparkly blue eye shadow, for example--towards the back.  Give everything a quick wipe before putting it away. You might just become, a little more excited to put your face on in the morning.
And once you clean up and get rid of the “old” that has been cluttering up your makeup bag for far too long, it’s time bring in the “new” Yay! This is the fun part!

Three ultra-feminine Valentine's Day makeup looks That look great on everyone!

Three ultra-feminine Valentine's Day makeup looks
That look great on everyone!

Valentine's Day is a perfect time to experiment with a new look. You can create these fresh, romantic looks easily with hardly any extra effort. Valentine's Day is the day which every girl looks forward to the whole year. Couples plan to meet up and celebrate the special day so that it becomes a memorable day of their life. Every girl wants to impress her darling, by looking superbly gorgeous, and red is definitely a part of her apparel.

For a soft, romantic makeup look:
To keep your look soft ,use sheer, muted colors and avoid overdoing any one area of your face. There are lots of  beautiful pinks at the cosmetics counter that look wonderful on all skin tones, whether you have pale white or deep brown skin. I cannot say enough about this, the correct blush, will make you appear brighter, more awake, fresher, and happier . If you could buy only one new product for your updated, fresh romantic look, make it  a glowy warm pink blush with brown undertones. This shade is gorgeous and looks fantastic on everyone.
Curl your lashes and apply either black or brown mascara. (Make sure you don't use too much.) After you've prepared you face as you normally do, softly contour you cheeks with a very pale, sheer pink blush, placing it on your cheekbones and focusing on the balls“ of your cheeks. Give yourself a big smile, and pat your blush on your cheeks to blend. Again, keep it light. You just want an accent of a neutral pink to give your face a lift. (Dip your blush brush lightly into the color then tap it off before applying it gently to your face.) Add lip liner and gloss to your lip’s and you're done!"

For a vivid, sexy makeup look:
Use this look is to enhance your eyes in a dazzling way by adding thick lashes. Splurge and  buy a beautiful set of lashes and don’t forget clear drying eyelash adhesive. (I promise you: If it's clear and you apply it correctly, you won't be able to detect it!) Good quality lashes can be used again and again if cared for properly. First, curl your own lashes, then apply one coat of mascara to your natural lashes so that they blend with your faux ones. (Tip: most lashes are made very long in width, make sure that you use scissors to trim the width of your lashes so they are slightly shorter than your own lash line, they should start a little further back from your inner eye corner all the way to the very end of your outer lashes). This look is very sexy and flirty. Lashes will really open up your eyes and give your whole face life. For a slightly sparkly look, apply a very sheer shimmer shadow or cosmetic grade glitter to your lids, that will brighten your eyes. Use a sheer cheek color and deep Bordeaux red lipstick or rich, berry lip stain.

For a lovely, smoldering makeup look:
Another very pretty look for Valentine's Day is a smoldering eye with matte face and mouth. It's very clean and romantic. Unlike a smoky eye, in which dark shadow is smudged all over the lid, a smoldering eye calls for just enough dark shadow at the ends to soften your look and make your eyes pop. Use pale pink shadow on the lid, and sheer, smoldering charcoal at the corner ends of the eyes. You can also add a little bit under the eye. Remember, the key to the smoldering eye is just a little night time drama, don’t over do it and ,to make sure before you apply any dark color that your eyelid is gently powdered with a neutral powder, because any oil will grab the dark color and create an vampy look.
"Next, apply mascara and comb and groom your eyebrows. For a nice, matte mouth, use a deep ruby lip color, if your complexion is slightly on the darker side, go for other shades of pink that best complement your complexion. Heavy glossy lips will detract from your dramatic, smoldering eye’s and to be frank, if you plan on getting a kiss, most men won’t want red sticky lip gloss all over their faces.

And don’t forget to have your nails and toes perfectly polished!

Crushed German Glass

Just bragging! It seems that when I finally get to something, I have put it off for way to long, and I have a pile of it to do....know what I'm say'n. I've not posted on my blog in a while, so this week I will be in over kill mode! I just wanted to share a few of my paintings that I have done. Most of them are downtown at a showing until feb. Rite now, I'm working on my good friend Aileen's portrait. For her Christmas present. Here are a few that I'm proud of!
